Spring Hill’s Nathan Terres (7) just avoided a tag by Farming’s Taylor Fourre to record a double in Spring Hill’s 11-3 win Friday night. The Chargers proved better at converting scoring changes. They had only three more hits than the Flames, but made good use of steal to get into scoring position. Austin Schoenberg led the Chargers with three hits while Terres and Tyler Revermann doubled. The Flames had most of their hits from the bottom of the order with number nine batter Joe Klein having three hits. Eric Schmitt doubled for the Flames. Jordan Welle pitched seven innings to earn the win. Brad Mergen, who struck out nine in 5.1 innings was charged with the loss.
