Paced by Shawn Schoenberg the Spring Hill Chargers downed New Munich 10-8 this afternoon. Schoenberg finished with four hits off of New Munich pitchers [Jim Thull], [Ty Reller] and [Will Funk]. He started his attack with a second inning single. In the third he doubled in a run as Spring Hill took a 4-0. His sixth inning three-run home runs put the Chargers up 9-1. He added another home run in the eighth to finish with five RBI and three runs. Kyle Bertram’s fourth inning home run rebuilt Spring Hill’s four-run lead after the Silverstreaks scored in the top of the fourth inning. Louie Opatz started on the mound for Spring Hill, but did not get out of the first inning walking three batters. At the plate, however, he had three hits for Spring Hill. Eric Terres also had three hits, one a double, and scored twice.  The Silverstreaks used singles by Jacob Hinnenkamp, Logan Funk and Brennen Hoppe to score their run. Hoppe had the RBI. Thull was charged with the loss.  Both teams turned two double plays in the game.
