Spring Hill Chargers

04/26/2015 - Spring Hill top New Munich 5-3

Spring Hill topped New Munich as the SCL season opened.

All the scoring was in the first five innings.  Nick Stangler doubled twice in the game and drove in all of the Silverstreak runs.  The Chargers benefitted from three New Munich errors as they took a 4-1 first inning lead.  Shawn Schoenberg had three hits for Spring Hill and Jamie Terres homered.  The starting pitcher earned the decisions.  With Jordan Welle taking the win and Jim Thull the loss. Relievers' Ty Reller of New Munich and Brent Terres allowed only two batters to reach base.  Terres retired all 12 he faced. Reller allowed a hit and walk, the batter walked was retired on a double play.
 

In other SCL games this afternoon: Elrosa score seven in the first inning to defeat Greenwald 11-1, Roscoe rallied for three in the ninth to top Meire Grove 3-1 and Richmond had a home run from Scott Ruegemer in its 7-3 win over Richmond. Jordan Moscho homered for the Martins.
