SpringHill­- The Spring Hill Chargers came through with timely hits to win two games in the SCL-North.

On Saturday, May 3, they topped Greenwald 12-2 and on Sunday, May 4, they defeated Elrosa 6-3. Shawn Schoenberg’s two-run home run gave the Chargers a 4-3 lead in the seventh inning on Sunday. The Chargers added two more runs that inning.

Brent Terres, who pitched four innings of hitless and scoreless relief, was the winning pitcher. He struck out five batters.

“I was feeling good today,” he said. “I felt better than last year.”

Elrosa, which led 3-2 after the third inning, had two hits from Ethan Vogt, one of them was a home run. The Saints also played well in the field.

Corey Schoenberg doubled twice for Spring Hill. He and [JamieTerres] had two hits for the Chargers.
